FAQ
Here are a few frequently asked questions I receive, if you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch via the contact section.
What sort of massage should I book?
Sports Massage is perfect for releasing tension, aches, pains and muscle adhesions in a small/specific area of the body, e.g. Shoulders, lower back, hamstrings. It can be slightly sore after and during treatment treatment, but the rewards are brilliant.
Deep tissue massage is usually on a vaster scale, with multiple muscles involved, for example, the back, shoulders, neck and glutes all at once.
A full body massage is exactly what it says, and it aims to relax and remove tension in the whole body.
How long should I book?
The amount of time a person needs/wants is always very different, however, I understand that people want some guidance. I would usually advise a 30 minute session if you have never had a sports massage before, as it can feel slightly painful, so think of it as a little introdution. If you are extremely tight and in a great amount of pain, an hour would be more beneficial. It is completely up to you as to what you think would benefit you more, but please get in touch with anymore questions.
How often do I need to come?
Similarly to the previous question, it is completely dependent on you and your situation. I never like to say how often, purely due to individual circumstances, so please don't feel like it needs to be a weekly/monthly thing! If you would like to keep it up, every 4-6 weeks is generally a good timescale.
Do I need a consultation?
I have a short form for you to fill out, this is purely for your safety and so that I know of any health complications. Some treatments cannot be used on people with different issues, therefore I need to be aware before we begin any treatment. We will have a quick chat about the problem and begin treatment afterwards.
Do you do sponsorships?
I am more than happy to sponsor small local events. I have sponsored several Risley CC cricket matches, as well as the Charnwood YFC. I also love to give raffle prizes to help with charity/local business funding, so please get in touch if you want some prizes.
